From the time I was old enough to understand what my eyes were seeing, I fell in love with the science fiction and fantasy genres. It began with comic books and continued with episodes of Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Space 1999, Star Wars and a host of classic novels; things only expanded from there.
Page after page I loved reading about my favorite super heroes and seeing their powers in action, or watching the incredible vision of Gene Roddenberry come to life on the small black & white TV in my bedroom. Often, I would stay up late to catch an episode of Star Trek, even though it was just another re-run. On Friday nights the local TV station ran science fiction and horror movies until dawn, so I would always have an extra-large bowl of popcorn and a large glass of lemonade, ready for the all-night event. Godzilla, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman, and all sorts of other monsters and aliens were some of my friends throughout my teen years. Soon enough, I began to follow the adventures of John Carter of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs, then on to the fantasy realm of J.R.R Tolkien's The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The mysteriousness of Gandalf and the world of Tolkien enthralled and fascinated me, and still do to this day!
Finally, when I entered my late-teens, my interests expanded into the realm of role-playing games. I was lucky enough to see the birth of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, and with that I was able to bring my own ideas to the table, so-to-speak. My gaming interest hasn't stopped since. My role-playing game experience includes nearly every game and genre imaginable. During my late teens, a friend and I toyed with the idea of creating our own RPG world, and did so several times, and that objective has never ceased. I readily enjoy examining new worlds and RPG mechanics, and I am continuously on the lookout for great campaign ideas or ways to improve an RPG with new house rules.
My related fields of experience include everything from commissioned sales, business management, typesetting, graphic design, pre-press and offset press operations. In addition, I have extensive experience in both technical and creative writing, role-playing game mechanics and website development. I have vast experience with numerous software packages from Adobe through Microsoft and everything in-between, including several 3D modeling packages.
I have always had it in the back of my mind that I would one day write a science fiction or fantasy novel, and of late those thoughts have resurfaced with a vengeance. This website and my projects are a testament to that passion, and together with my years of experience in writing and role-playing games, brings an obvious conclusion; I need to get off my ass to design and write.
This brings me to my current goals: to work on the design of an RPG system and campaign world wherefrom I can create my very own fantasy adventure novels. My network of websites and social pages are devoted to these goals.
